The fool wonders, the wise man asks.
Taking into consideration questions we are often asked, as well as based on feedback from our past participants, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions for you.
If what we love becomes part of our professional career we tend to put more of ourselves into it. Hard work and persistence work miracles, but what if you could reinforce your efforts with experiences and knowledge that is already out there? This is partially achieved by formal education but there is a noticeable void when you want to put your education to work. Singapore Summer School brings together a group of young adults’ at the onset of their professional careers, full of energy and absolutely convinced the future will bring great things. They have a good education and what they need are the skills positioned in what would be the overlaps of personal and professional. Singapore Summer School approaches this by a carefully curated program and an innovative approach to learning: it moves away from the traditional teaching and learning styles of passive listening. The foundation are active classes which include experiential learning, workshops, visits, and events.
If Shanghai is for those determined to broaden their perspectives through a widely different language and culture, Singapore is much more about brushing their skill set all the while being immersed in one of the most innovative and business savvy environments of Asia’s business capital.
Singapore Summer School is built for energetic young adults in search of a summer adventure with great added value for their career and private life. It’s for those who want to spend their summer with their minds at work in an incredibly diverse Singapore, learning and exploring together with a group of people coming from different backgrounds and with different value sets.
If you are curious about the people and world around you if you love adventure and if you are not afraid of trying new things then you will enjoy every second of the summer school.
The core of the Singapore Summer School program are lectures, workshops, and visits themed with entrepreneurial, business, and soft skills topics arranged daily in the morning (9.30 am – 12.30 pm) and afternoon sessions (2.00 – 5.00 pm).
Program is wrapped-up with a Hackathon Competition in actionable business plan preparation and preparation to put all newly learned knowledge to good use.
Included activities will be individually presented on the program section of the webpage.
In short, it will be a fun, experiential learning experience that you will still be thinking about for a long time after.
For more information please check the program page.
